Discover the Surroundings – Explore the Beauty In and Around Hai La Saivan.

Enjoy freely all the “Hai La Saivan” basics:

Just hang around the property, take a blanket, sit down on the grass and take in the view, the clouds, breathe and relax.

Spend time with the animals, drink the fresh water straight from the well, do the hay. Don’t forget to check the cheesemaking or milk the cows at the sheepfold (Stana) - may to September - or just drink a palinka or casprinka with Vistic.

Heres some ideas:

  • Doing nothing and watching the clouds :-)

  • Check one of our marked hiking trails, starting directly from the property.

  • Swing in the wind: soak in valley views from our swing.

  • Sunbathing on our chaise longues (sezlong)

  • Feeding the rabbits – morning / afternoon every day – ask Vistic for „precise” hours

  • Collecting the morning eggs - every day, ask Vistic for „precise” hours

  • Milking the cows - every day in the summer, ask Vistic for „precise” hours

  • Sheparding – walk with the sheep – ask Vistic

  • Cheesemaking - step back back in time with this magic unfiltered process

  • Cutting the hay and feel the real bucovienan summer.

  • Picking wild berries: wild strawberries, blackberries and raspberries just near the property.

  • Picking hazelnuts from the trees by the river (august and September).

  • Gardening –  choose your own veggies! (summer to autumn)

  • Play in the snow with one of our wooden sledges, just great for kids in winter.

  • Sleep under the stars on our natural hay bed.

  • Pick wild flowers in amazing unspoiled meadows.

These activities are designed to offer you unforgettable moments, guided by local experts who will share their passion and knowledge with you.

  • Foc de tabara

    Enjoy a „Foc de tabara” campfire - nothing beats the sheer magic of sitting by an open air fire, any season

  • Mushrooms picking

    Pick mushrooms in the mountains around (summer to autumn).

    A truly unforgettable, magic experience, thanks to Maestro Sorin, one of the most famous mushroom pickers of the region. Success guaranteed!

    Duration 3/5 hours. Guided by Sorin.

  • Deer antlers search

    Deer antlers search in the mountains around (late february to early may). Who will be the lucky one? Guided by Vistic.

  • Guided Trekking

    Guided Hiking & Wildlife spotting in the mountains around (all year round) – guided by Sorin or local guide.

    Very many options across Rarau, Vama, Frumosu and more. Chances to see deers, wild rabbits, foxes and more.

    Half day or full day, to be agreed.

  • Visit „Cheile Moara Dracului”

    A visit to the „Cheile Moara Dracului” – the Devil’s Mill gorges – guided by our driver.

    A short but impressive gorge lost in the middle of mount Rarau forests, where you will walk on a wooden structure right above the river and through the gorge. We will take you there with our Defender. A quick but pleasantly powerful experience, perfect for a half a day activity.

    Duration: 2 to 3 hours.

  • Visit UNESCOs Codrii Seculari and Slatioara

    A unique experience discovering the remote, last truly virgin forests of Mount Rarau. One of the oldest National Parks in the country, a World Heritage Site protected by Unesco.

    Duration: 4 to 6 hours, guided by our driver.

  • UNESCO Monasteries tour

    A Unesco World Heritage marvel, what rightly so made Bucovina famous all over the world. A customizable itinerary and experience, guided by our driver. Moldovita / Sucevita / Humor or Arbore / Voronet.

    Duration: roughly 4 to 6 hours

Around Bucovina

Hai La Saivan sits at the heart of Bucovina, half way between the villages of Gura Humorului and Campulung Moldovenesc, so it’s also an ideal base to explore not only the region and its Unesco sites such as the amazing Painted Monesteries of Bucovina, but also for winter sports and activities on Mount Rarau brand-new Ski slopes, the longest in the country.

The human and anthropologic texture of the whole Bucovina region is also amazingly rich and alive, with every season full of folkloric events ranging from ancient Easter traditions, to summer and winter colorful celebrations in traditional costumes, such as Obiceurile de iarna.

You can go by yourself or ask for a guided tour with our driver.
