House Instructions
Welcome to our Home!
Here is a little guide to help you
make the most of your stay.
Hai La Saivan is a thoughtfully curated agrotourism experience, designed to feel different from an ordinary hotel. To ensure you have the best possible stay, here are a few things to know about how we do things.
1. Access and pick up
Hai La Saivan is in a national park part of the Natura 2000 protected areas.
Therefore direct access with your own car is NOT possible and we require you call us in advance (Raluca +40748031323) to organize your pick up with our driver and our 4x4.
2. Your own food
For hygiene reasons and to offer a fully immersive experience, guests are not allowed to bring their own food—after all, a personal chef is part of the retreat!
Farm-to-Table Dining and Personalized Hospitality.
3. Smoking
Smoking in the houses is strictly forbidden, including electronic cigarettes.
You can smoke on the pridvor of Casa Mare, Casa Mica and Casa Foarte Mica, or best in the foisor. Even better: just breath the fresh mountain air.
If any problem, you will find several fire extinguishers in each house.
4. Fire in the stoves, chimney and foisor
Surely one of the greatest pleasures when at Hai La Saivan, is to
hear the fire cracking in the soba or watch it dance in the chimney. But please ask the personnel to help you with it and don’t start the woodfire alone by yourself: each stove is handmade and behaves differently, we know best what wood to put and how to use them
to avoid smoke and other issues.
If any problem, you will find several fire extinguishers in each house.
5. Check-in & check-out hours
Check-in is between 3 pm and 8 pm.
You can arrive also outside these hours but please note that after 8 pm a small charge for pick up will apply.
Check-out is until 11 am.
6. Your pet is welcome
We are pet-friendly, but we kindly ask you to let us know in advance. When up, please keep your pet on a leash as we have shepherd dogs which are kind but at times territorial.
A small fee with apply for the extra cleaning.
7. Hours of silence and staff rest
Enjoy the silence! Especially when other guests are around, between 23.00 and 8 am, and between 3 pm and 5 pm.
8. How to behave with our animals
Hai La Saivan it’s also a farm, and the animals are real farm animals – they are not pets or puppets, so please use caution, respect them and ask before interacting with them, especially if with kids.
Ask for the rabbits feeding hours and Vistic or Tuca will be happy to feed them with you! Same for milking the cows, or picking the eggs.
9. No toilet paper in the WC, please
We are on the top of a hill, with nothing around. All the water we use on the property comes from our mountain wells, and we use septic tanks and bio-cleaning products to minimize eco-impact.
We use recycled biodegradable toilet paper and would be thankful if you please don’t throw it in the toilet, but rather use the bin.
Thank you for understanding and supporting local nature!
10. Insects
We keep the lights in the veranda of Casa Mare, Casa Mica and Casa Foarte Mica on all night.
During summer nights thought, because of this, lots of tiny friends gather. Keep both double doors closed to avoid them coming in and visiting you during the night.
11. Room linens
Bed sheets and towels are changed according to the length of your stay. Please ask if you have special needs. Shared spaces are cleaned daily.
12. Shoes and slippers
Our houses are cosy, and what also makes them so is the handmade larch wood floors. In each bedroom, you will find some cozy slippers. Or you can bring yours. The thing is – please leave your shoes outside. In the winter, you can put them under the little shoes-roof on the terrace, it has been custom-made to protect them if it snows a lot.
13. Kitchen hours
The kitchen has fixed hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner between 8 am and latest 9 pm. To best serve you, tell in advance to the personnel at what hour you would like to have your breakfast the next morning, and your meals during the day.
