„Hai La Saivan” hikes around Mount Hasnas
There are 3 nice and easy trails that depart right from and return to La Saivan.
They are clearly marked, so you can do them by yourself following the maps and the signs on the trees. But you can also ask Sorin or Vistic and they will be happy to come with you - small tip welcome
It’s the easiest one, and in one circuit gives you an overview of the close surrondings.
The starting point is the gate behind Casa Mica. You will climb until the ridge and then circle around, go through the forest, exit up at the plateau for some stunning panoramas, and descend back passing by the stana. Easy, duration about 1 to 1 and a half hour.
1 - Beech tree forest
2 - First World War trenches. Up the rigde (yellow path) you can also see an old stone track used to move heavy artillery with the horses
3 - Old sheep path through the forest
4 - Plateau / viewpoint
5 - Water wells
6 - Wild berries bushes – blackberries, raspberries and small strawberries (summer)
Yellow dot walk:
Red triangle walk:
The starting point is the gate behind Casa Mica. You go up until the ridge and the beautiful beech trees forest, and then you will start climbing, following the ridge until the old german observatory ruins, where you can have an amazing view on both sides of the valley, including the top view of all Vama.
Medium difficulty, fairly good physical conditions needed, duration 2 to 3 hours. You can bring the pick-nic with you and eat it at „the stones” with fantastic peace and views.

Blue Cross walk:
This trail starts at the Stana and goes up to the plateau, and then reaches the old stone road in the forest, getting you to a poiana with the old „stana” in the back. Here you can have a pic nic break and enjoy the view and old barns, before making your way back through the „molid” forest until you reach the „drum forestier” which will take you back towards La Saivan. This is not a difficult or steep hike, but it’s a longer one and if you do the whole circuit will take you about 3 hours.
